Public Enterprise ESG Information
Public Enterprises Obliged to Do Extensive ESG Reporting
The government will add four ESG[1] categories to corporate information reporting requirements for public enterprises. The four newly added categories are safety and environment, social contributions, cooperation, and family-friendly work environment, and are expected to encourage public enterprises to play a leading role in the pursuit of the green new deal goals, as well as increase their value.
Four new categories
- Safety and environment: workplace safety, green product purchases and greenhouse gas emissions reduction efforts
- Social contribution: voluntary social activities and financial contributions
- Cooperation: purchases of innovative products made by SMEs, as well as products made by the physically challenged
- Family-friendly work environment: Family care leave and work place daycare centers
